Neglected but not forgotten

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted. Honestly, I'm more than a little embarrassed about neglecting it. So, this will hopefully catch you up with all that's current, and I plan to use my next few posts to deliver past happenings intertwined with some fairly recent photos that I've meant to blog about over the last few months.

Our latest news is that we are expecting a baby girl on Nov. 6. It sounds simple to say, but we really couldn't be any happier. We are anxious to meet her, hold her, and love her. I am 28 weeks along in my pregnancy and am feeling pretty good despite some knots in my back, constant heartburn, and daily bouts of fatigue. So far, we have done a lot of planning, a little shopping, but we don't have a lot of fruits to show for our labors thus far. We purchased three pieces of nursery furniture and had to order replacement parts, so needless to say the nursery is not assembled yet. However, we have built her dresser and can't wait to move it into place once we get the other parts and can clean the carpets.

Next up will be sewing all the nursery bedding, curtain, and accessories. I found some awesome fabric that I'm really excited about using. The collection is called "Just Dreamy" and looks like bright pastels in retro-esque prints. I think it will be perfect.

Here's a photo succession of belly shots as I've grown. I'm sure I'll look back on these and cringe about sharing them with the world - especially the ones of me in my PJs, but who's really reading this, right? Hope you enjoy! This little girl sure is an active baby. She loves to move and kick, so Cornell and I aren't sure if she'll be a dancer or a soccer player. Either will be just fine with us.
